With titles like «Vale Madres» (I Don’t Care), «Me Quieres Cuando No Estás Bien» (You Want Me When You’re Not Well), «Está Cabrón» (It’s Tough), «Cuidar De Ti» (Taking Care of You), «Qué Hago Mal» (What Am I Doing Wrong), and «Tus Fotos» (Your Photos), the EP represents the emotional reality of the young people of his generation with a different sound.
«This album is like an MRI of my emotional world and that of the people I know. I poured my essence into it,» Alex Luna said about his first production under the BorderKid Records label, owned by the acclaimed artist and producer Edgar Barrera.
«Alex Luna is one of the most complete new artists I have met; he records, produces, writes, and performs his own songs,» Barrera said about Luna. «I am proud to be part of the growth of what will be one of the most important artists in Mexican pop.»
Accompanying the EP release is the video for «Vale Madres,» a song that highlights the daily lives of today’s youth: they are mature enough to go out but not to work and make money, they experience heartbreaks that make them question their worth, and overall, they go through too many drastic changes during this stage of youth. The message is that in the end, they learn to flow, accept changes, and understand that every situation is temporary. For the video, directed by Felipe Mejía, the powerful song receives a touch of tenderness, with the spotlight shared between Luna as he looks today and a child actor representing him in elementary school.
