Sony Music Latin and The Orchard affiliated labels artists lead the Premios Juventud 2023. The ceremony took place last night at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot from San Juan, PR and was broadcasted by Univision.
The list of winners was led by Shakira, who took home 8 awards, followed by Bizarrap with 4 awards. Shakira was also recipient of the Agent of Change special award in recognition of her philanthropic work and commitment to social causes.
The winners from Sony Music Latin and affiliated labels under The Orchard also included global stars and emerging talents who have made a mark in the music industry, such as: Anuel AA, Bizarrap, Becky G, Ha*Ash, Kenia Os, Maluma, Manuel Turizo, Natti Natasha, Ozuna, Rauw Alejandro, Romeo Santos, ROSALÍA, Tokischa, and Wisin & Yandel, among others.
The event began with an exciting opening that included Wisin and other great stars of the urban genre, performing songs hits like «Saoco» alongside Chencho Corleone and Omar Courtz. Wisin also premiered his new single “Baja, Sube, Sube” with Jowell & Randy. Additionally, Camilo shared the stage with Carin León in a regional Mexican duet titled «Ni Me Debes Ni Te Debo». Among other standout performances of the night, Ha*Ash captivated the audience with their song «Supongo Lo Que Sabes». Fuerza Regida ignited the Coliseo with their successful single «Beso Fresa,» while Farruko left his unique musical mark by singing «Pasa_je_ro» and «Esta Vida». Chencho Corleone surprised us with his interpretations of «Un Cigarrillo» and «Hora De Salir.»
The most emotional moment of the night was the special participation of Jenni Rivera’s daughters: Chiquis, Jacquie, and Jenicka, who touched the audience with a powerful performance in honor of their mother’s musical legacy, showing that her talent lives on in them with the song «Pedacito de Mi.»
Camila stood out with an impressive performance that left the audience amazed with all its original members: Mario, Samo, and Pablo, to perform some of their hits such as «Fugitivos» and «Mientes», among others.
In addition, Boza, Goyo, and Kenia Os had the honor of presenting some of the awards of the night and Camilo, Kany García and Wisin presented the «Agent of Change» special awards in recognition of her philanthropic work.
During the pre-show «Noche de Estrellas,» the talented Luis Figueroa participated, delivering an exciting performance of «La Luz» that captivated the audience.
