J Noa hailing from the Dominican Republic, the 17-year-old raps about her own life experiences and the grim reality of growing up in the hood. The rapper recently signed with Sony Music Entertainment and is poised to be one of the most promising artists in the Latin urban genre.
In just a few months, J Noa has amassed +100K followers across socials and +500K views on her music videos. Her debut release under Sony Music, “Qué Fue,” was a critique on how DR’s government handles social and economic issues which garnered her press from her peers, media and industry tastemakers.
Prior to signing with Sony, J Noa was already on the move. She wrote her first song at the tender age of 8 and since then referred to herself as “La Hija del Rap” (“The Daughter of Rap”) as a tribute to Dominican rappers Melymel y Lápiz Consciente, known as “La Mamá del Rap» y el «Papá del Rap”(“The Mother and Father of Rap”).
She began uploading freestyles in 2018 and caught the attention of various producers including Fugi Music, now her manager, and Rafa Arcaute, executive of Sony Music Entertainment and renowned Grammy winning producer.
