Fresh off the release of their latest single “Ya No,” Grupo Frontera took home the award for Música Mexicana – Group or Duo of the Year and Música Mexicana – Collaboration Of The Year for their song “Entre Paréntisis” alongside Shakira at this year’s Premio Lo Nuestro. Showcasing their innovative spirit, the trailblazing group also took the stage to deliver an epic performance of their new collaborative track “Hoy no me siento bien” with Alejandro Sanz.

During the 37th edition of Premio Lo Nuestro, Grupo Frontera brought “Hoy no me siento bien” to life with a live performance of the hit song. As they took the stage with Alejandro Sanz, they captivated audiences with their incredible energy, showcasing a genre-bending fusion of salsa, cumbia and música Mexicana. Accompanied by live trumpet and trombone players, the performance displayed the passion of both artists, with their powerful vocals and emotional delivery resonating with the audience, making it one of the standout moments of the show.
Since their meteoric rise to fame, Grupo Frontera has consistently released back-to-back chart-topping hits, dominating prestigious rankings such as Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs, Regional Mexican Airplay, Latin Airplay, and Spotify’s Global Top 200 chart. Their freshman album, El Comienzo, accumulated 2.8 billion streams in under a year and earned the group their first Latin GRAMMYⓇ for Best Norteño Album at the 2024 Latin GRAMMY Awards.
Their highly anticipated sophomore album, Jugando A Que No Pasa Nada, released in May of last year, also debuted with tremendous success, landing on four Billboard charts: No. 6 on the Regional Mexican Albums chart, No. 10 on the Top Latin Albums chart, No. 36 on the Independent Albums chart, and No. 198 on the Billboard 200.
Earlier this year, Grupo Frontera released MALA MIA, a collaborative EP with Fuerza Regida. The track “ME JALO” from the EP currently sits at No. 8 on Spotify Mexico’s Top 200 Songs chart, with nearly 105 million streams, while “COQUETA” is at No. 74 with 40 million streams. As the first Mexican cover artists to be featured in The FADER magazine, and with appearances on major high-profile talk shows like Jimmy Kimmel Live and Good Morning America, Grupo Frontera has firmly established themselves in the global music scene.
