Today, the rising urban artist released a new collaboration with Puerto Rican urban and trending artists Jon Z and Alex Rose, “La Importante”. The new single and video combine the best of both worlds: Darkiel’s romantic lyrics and the electrifying beats of Jon Z and Alex Rose. With their three different styles and lyrics that mesmerize the audience, “La Importante” is now available on all digital platforms under the Chosen Few Emerald Entertainment / CMN / On Fire Music and BMG label.
Co-produced by Rewire and Boy Wonder, “La Importante” is a reggaeton and rap inspired song that invites you to connect with its catchy rhythm and empowering lyrics. The song talks about heartbreak, the end of a relationship, and the importance of moving forward, embracing your independence. Although the song is for powerful and independent women, anyone can identify with it.
“I haven’t done a reggaeton song like this in a long time, which includes rap/chanteo, and I loved it because I didn’t lose my essence. On the contrary, I keep expanding my music to another audience with new sounds and I continue to evolve. Filmed at The Sausage Castle in Orlando, FL, the video was produced by Jack Nine Films X One Titan Films. The video starts with the girl reeling through a breakup. However, this doesn’t last long as she slowly begins to take back control of her life, shedding light on a new and improved version of herself and puts herself before anyone else, becoming “La Importante” (the important one). Now, she learns to choose herself before others, both empowering herself and learning that she doesn’t need anyone to get ahead in life.
Darkiel has more than 500 million combined video views on YouTube. Highlight releases include “Aquí eres tú”, “Te Llamé Borracho” (ft.
